The intention of our practice is to nourish and connect.
We do this through yoga and other energetic practices. We get inspired by the dedicated practices of generations of yogis, as well as our teachers in the forest: The trees, the plants, the mycelium, the powerful seeds, the animals, the elements.
There are the following formats:
- Monthly community practice. This is aimed at people who like to co-create the community feeling of Wald Yoga and join more regularly. After our yoga practice - typically a 90-minute Hatha & Yoga Nidra practice - we often have a picnic, a walk or go to the spa. In contrast to a typical class in a yoga studio, there is less instruction and alignment and more space for bringing in your personal practice. We co-create a beautiful energy field together that inspires and supports all of us, during the practice and beyond. We sometimes also arrange additional yoga practices bilaterally or in a small group beyond the monthly sessions.
- Hatha & Nidra classes. In contrast to the community practice, these 90-minute Hatha & Yoga Nidra sessions are more like traditional yoga classes: Guided, open to anyone, and you can just come and sink in as a participant. The practice is straightforward and suitable for all levels. We start with pranayama (guided breathing) mobilising energy and calming the mind. We then warm up our bodies through gentle movements and go through a 45-minute Hatha Yoga sequence of physical postures. They combine ‘Ha’ (sun) elements of active strengthening and holds, with ‘Tha’ (moon) elements of deep stretches. Here is a typical sequence overview. The elements and intensity will be tailored to the day and group.
- Co-creations and guest teachers. Increasingly, we will also have guest teachers who will bring their styles and practices into our space. Drop a mail and join our WhatsApp group to stay informed about guest teachers.

The place
Wald ZH is just 40 min from Zurich by train and one of the greenest nature places in the region. It’s often sunny, just above the fog. The region vibrates with life energy, animals, forests and sunlight.
Taiji am Fluss is a beautiful practice space next to a little river. It’s 5 minutes to the spa Bleiche Bad, a cosy brunch place as well as the starting point to scenic walks.
As the days get warmer, we will also practice outdoors in the forest.

Yoga Style and Trainings
I am practicing, exploring, and teaching Hatha Yoga (Vikasa Style) and Yoga Nidra (Sanapurna Style). I am happy to share and teach, as well as to join others, get inspired and/or co-create new sequences and immersive experiences together.
Ich praktiziere, erkunde, und leite Hatha Yoga und Yoga Nidra an, und liebe Ko-Kreationen. Der Text auf dieser Seite ist auf Englisch, da einige Teilnehmende aus Zürich nur Englisch sprechen. Wir können aber auch gerne auf Deutsch oder Schwiizerdütsch praktizieren, wenn wir an einem Weekend eine deutschsprechende Gruppe sind, oder bilateral eine Stunde arrangieren.
